Featured event: KROT & KRASS
Last year we launched a new project; a so-called Plan-B Art Festival Featured Event. The first featured event in 2018 was the screening of an experimental film by the late Jóhann Jóhannsson, titled End of Summer. The film was enjoyed by a full house of locals, art, music and film enthusiasts, alike.
We are proud to announce that Krot & Krass, made up of artists Björn Loki Björnsson and Elsa Jónsdóttir, will be joining us for this years festival and star as the Featured Event of 2019, creating a mural in Borgarnes.
For the last two years Krot & Krass have travelled Iceland to dig up old historic manuscripts and drawings. The typography on these documents form the basis for redrawings and further developments of new letterforms.
Krot & Krass have become known in recent years for their large scale type-based murals in Iceland and around Europe.
