Plan-B Art Festival
Plan-B: an important venue for contemporary art
Plan-B Art Festival has started a Karolina fund campaign.
Plan-B Art Festival is the first art festival of its kind in the West of Iceland where attention is directed towards contemporary art and a conversation between mixed media. The festival will be held for the third time 2018 during the weekend of 9th –12th of August in Borgarnes.
Plan-B is one of few festivals in Iceland that offers an open call, where artist apply for participation. That's how we create a platform for less experienced and younger artists for creation and conversation with other artists.
Even though the festival has grown bigger every year it's still hard to finance culture in rural areas. We do not see art as a hobby and from day one we have payed artists for their participation. The fundraiser plays an important role in making Plan-B happen and we kindly ask you, supporters of Plan-B and Icelandic art to help us.
